This article hits the nail on the head! Minorities must take seat at the table of green energy sooner rather than later and create economic opportunity in diverse communities. Grass roots efforts are needed to assist in transition to more effective marketing to a greater percentage of minority business development consortiums and/or organization. Thanks for sharing!

I listened to the podcast you did with Blacks In Technology. I believe the major issue is people want 20th century jobs in a 21st century technological world. An indifference in education with math and science plays a role too. We might be able to have a factory that makes computer components like Foxconn if we were more math and science efficient.

Hi,

Todd, as an advocate for social justice, economic empowerment & healthy lifestyle skills, Im thankful for the enlightment of this article. Having both a non-profit and a social enterprise in the Green Enegy Industry, I was one, whom was at a lost for the importance of IT, for those individuals who have yet an understanding of the Green Industry. In fact, I myself often find frustrations with IT, the technical terms and the programing, having three sites to maintain. Still now that you have clearly explained how it correlates in a manner that makes it clear, and Im thankful. Yet, however, as you have stated, many individuals, much like myself I have found, what was most helpful is explaining it in laymens terms, giving examples, putting it in terms where a 6th grader can understand. Therefore, if we are truly going to make a greater impact, we have to reach them in a language of a level of understanding. Thus the process itself is much to grasp therefore I would like to recommend that we consider the language used in this method of training. So again Im thankful for this understanding now I can better explain, in a matter that will reach the grassroots demographics.
